We went to Jade Palace for dinner upon recommendation from a friend (and fellow lover of Chinese cuisine). He raved about their lunch and told us we had to try it so we headed over (a 25 minute drive) that same day. Our very favorite Chinese restaurant in Cranberry Township closed several years ago when the owners retired. Since then, we’ve been looking for a place with similar quality, flavor, price and great customer service. We were not disappointed. The hot & sour soup is some of the best I’ve had. Great flavor profile and it had me tearing up by the end of the generous serving with a good amount of spice. For the main course we had Kung Pao chicken and the Beef in orange sauce (?). Both were fantastic, just the right amount of sauce (not drowning in it!). The egg rolls are small but very tasty - for the price, under 2 each, they are unbeatable. The only minor disappointment was that we ordered extra spicy and the heat level wasn’t there. We really like spicy so we’re picky in that department. The Szechuan peppers themselves (yep, we tried them) in the dishes weren’t very hot. As a fairly accomplished cook, I get how something like that can really change the heat level in a dish so I’ll give them a pass. Everyone we encountered who works there, in particular Michelle (who owns the restaurant with her husband) were absolutely lovely. They’re a new establishment, they’re working hard to build a clientele and I give them kudos all around. We’ll be back (and next time I’ll take a quart of hot and sour soup to go!).

We treat ourselves to Jade Palace take-out every Sunday! What incredible food: Sinapore Rice Noodles, the many shrimp, chicken and beef dishes. Always so fresh and seasoned perfectly. My husband loves how they prepare different tofu dishes. It's worth my 30 minute round trip to Route 8 as their food is just so fresh and delicious. Thank you Michele and family! Linda and Charlie

Had the amazing chicken lunch special . I usually go to Lin’s and get this same meal . Same price . Chicken was sweeter , tasted like orange chicken and general tso together , which is great in my eyes .You get wonton chips which is a nice. Fried Rice was good, not dry. Hot and sour soup is far superior to Lin’s Gardens hot and sour soup in my opinion.
